description Greenville Recreation Area is located on the northern end of Wappapello Lake, near Little Lake Creek. The spacious campground provides entertainment like volleyball, horseshoe pits and hiking for families and friends who choose to visit. Every year, the park puts on the Old Greenville Days event to celebrate history of the early 1900's. Live music and food are part of the festivities. drivingDirection The physical address of the park is located a mile south of Greenville, MO. From St. Louis, take I-55 south to Highway 67 south toGreenville. From here, continue south about 1 mile and lookfor signs. From Poplar Bluff take Highway 67 north about 29miles and look for signs.
facilitiesDescription The day use portion of the recreation area includes 14 picnic sites, a boat ramp with courtesy dock and volleyball court. Facilities within the campground include showers, a playground, and 106 campsites with electric hookups. There is a dump station, but sewer hookups are not available at individual campsites.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
nearbyAttrctionDescription Visitors can hike or bike down a scenic 3 mile asphalt bike trail that connects the Greenville Campground and Recreation area to the City of Greenville. Other enjoyable trails surround the lake, like the Johnson Tract Natural Area and Trail, the Ozark Trail, and the Wappapello State Park Trail.
